Ces poèmes, extraits du livre de Hafez, célèbre poète perse furent les derniers que Massoud choisit au matin du 9 septembre 2001, à trois heures et demi du matin, quelques heures avant son assassinat. C'est son ami Massoud Khalili, fils du grand poète Khalilulah Khalili, unique rescapé de cet affreux attentat, qui les lui lut.

These poems, taken from the book of Hafez, the famous Persian poet, were the last ones chosen by Massoud on the morning of September 9th, 2001, at 3 am, a few hours before his assassination.  His friend Massoud Khalili, son of the great poet Khalilulah Khalili and the only person to escapet the awful attack, read them to him.
